Hilaria Baldwin’s father died of a heroin overdose: Court documents

A Florida man who says his estranged wife’s father overdosed on heroin while pregnant has been charged with first-degree murder in his estranged father’s death.

Hilaria Baldwin, 28, pleaded not guilty in federal court to the charge of second-degree felony murder, according to court records.

The indictment is the first criminal case against Baldwin in Broward County, where she lives.

Baldwin is accused of killing her father, James Baldwin, in an early December 2015 shooting at their home in the Miami suburb of Coral Gables.

James Baldwin died from a single gunshot wound to the back.

Hilary Baldwin was a former girlfriend of the victim’s father, Charles Baldwin, who died in 2012.
